Let's Catch Up...

Well alot has gone on in the past few weeks and it seems like I can't really catch a break to do much. So here comes a quick recap of the past month or so...

On January 20th Anastacia turned 5 years old...Can you believe it? Seriously my baby is 5 years old...Makes me feel old...

Anastacia wanted a princess/cinderalla cake and so she got the princess castle with the Cinderella on the side. She loved her cake. She also had a skating party for her birthday. She had alot of people show up to have fun with her...This is Marisa and I bringing her back from the center of the skating rink...They had sung happy bithday to her and announced her as the birthday girl for the day...

Then there was the massive snow storm and Preslee got an Upper Respiratory Infection and so we fought that for a week with antibiotics...No fun but luckily she got rid of it quickly and she returned to her happy self again. She went in for her 2 month checkup and received 3 shots and also an oral medication. She doesn't go back until she is 4 months old. Yay!

During the snow storm Triton got bored and he was into everything. I think he was a little sick of being in the house all the time also! He asked for something out of the fridge and we told him to go get it and a few minutes later went to go see what he is doing and this is what we found...

He was thirsty so he got his stool and climbed up  into the fridge to get his bottle of Sierra Mist off the top shelf...I guess he was desperate...Then one day we bought him an Orange pop from Walmart. We got home and he took it into his room while watching a movie. He came into our room while we were watching TV and this is the first thing I seen...

The orange pop mustache...How cute!!! Then one day we all rode our 4 wheelers in the snow...Here is Triton out riding his in the road (Albert is walking behind him)...

Glad those snow days are gone...I needed to get out and I had plans to get Preslee's Valentine's Day pictures done so I also scheduled and appointment to have my hair redone...I had to go cheap while I was pregnant because we were low on funds...So now I am back to the way I like it...Blonde with highlights on top and black on bottom...

I love my hair...Then that evening we had Preselee's Valentine's Day pictures done. I should be getting them back tomorrow. Yay...I can't wait to see them. Then here come Valentine's Day...Preslee got all decked out in her pink and her big flower...

She's getting so big...Then we went to dinner at Lin Cuisine in Sand Springs since that is my favorite restaraunt...It was so good...It was Albert, me, Triton, and Preslee...We celebrated on Feb. 13th since both of us had to work on Valentine's Day...Here is a picture once we got home of us...

Not the best of pictures but hey it's a picture...Then we got Preslee into her pajamas and into her bassinet...She looked like such an angel sleeping that night...

Here is another picture of her in this outfit but it is so sweet I couldn't resist...

Also since Preslee has become more 'verbal' and 'talkative' Triton is having alot of fun talking to her...

He keeps saying "Baby, Baby, Baby...Are you talking" it's so cute...Then we got Preslee with her Jordan's on one day...First time she has had actual shoes on...It was too cute...

One day Daddy put his hat on her and oh boy does she look like her father with this hat on...It's like a mini Albert...It's so stinken cute...I just love it!

This is what has been going on in the last few weeks with us and the kids (or the cute fun stuff)...

It's Been A Long Time...

Well I have been very distant from the blog for awhile. It seems like these past 8 weeks have just flown by...

So for starters last time I was on here I had 19 days until Preslee's due date and now I am back on here and Preslee is 5 weeks old. Time is just flying! So let me see if I can update since my last time here!

I went in on Nov. 30 at 7:30am to be induced and by 8:00am I was hooked up to my IVs and my Pitocin was running. They kept uping my Pitocin every 30 mins. My doctor didn't break my water until 5:15pm and I went from a 4-5 dilated to a 7 dilated within minutes of my water being broke. I got my epirual about 6:30-7pm and I delivered Preslee Elizabeth at 8:44pm. Preslee weighed 8lbs 10ozs and was 20 1/4 inches long. She was born on a Tuesday and we went home on a Thursday morning.

Then we had Preslee's hospital pictures taken on Wedneday (the day before we left the hospital).

~ Little Brother, Triton, holding Preslee ~

The kiddos have adjusted well to Preslee, there have been small signs of jealousy but nothing major that we can't handle...
With Preslee being about 3 weeks old Christmas time approaches and we have many activities we attended. Christmas Eve we went to my Nana's house and we did our snack food/finger food and opened presents. Preslee got a ton of stuff and Mom got to open it! Christmas day we went to Albert's Mom's house and had dinner and also opened gifts. Again Preslee got alot but her cousin, Madison, opened them all for her! Christmas was very busy this year and with all the new stuff coming into the house with Preslee being born and Christmas it was like we needed MORE room! But we got it under control.

The day after Christmas we had a birthday party for a friend of the family, his birthday falls on Christmas Day. It was another busy and long night but it was fun. Then on Dec 30th Preslee was 1 month old and we headed to see Dr. Gordon for her 1 month checkup. Preslee weighed 10lbs 1oz at her 1 month checkup and is 22 inches long. So she is growing and Dr. Gordon said she looked perfect. She goes back at 2 months for her first round of shots!

The following day was New Year's Eve and Preslee had been given an outfit for her baby shower so she was decked out and ready to ring in the New Year. We went to Richard's house with all of the Metcalfe family and had a cookout. After that we headed home and got home about 11:40pm and Albert and I toasted in the New Year. Triton spent the night with his Uncle, step-sister, and cousin. So it was just Albert, Preslee, and I here at home. New Year's Day we didn't do much at all. We ended up going to Walmart to do some minor shopping and then we stopped by Richard's house again and watched some of the football game. Then we came home and played some Wii.

Now Preslee is 5 weeks old and growing like crazy! Today, Jan 4th, I went to the daycare and took Preslee with me so the ladies up there could see her. I am going back to work on the 19th since my EIL time is up. I said I was only going to take 6 weeks off and when I go back to work Preslee will be 7 1/2 weeks old. I am just not ready to leave my little baby yet. I know she will be ok it's just the adjustment I am not ready for! Work is missing me and they need me back but so does my kiddos!

Can't Wait...

Well I am down to 19 days until my due date! How exciting is what I keep thinking and ready for baby Preslee to just make her way into the world and join us! I have been working for months to get her room ready, her stuff ready, her everything ready for her to get here! Last night I finally packed my hospital bag so I am ready when the time comes (if it is spontaneously).

At the same time I am also nervous, scared, and a bit on edge! I have been through labor and delivery now 3 times...You would think I wouldn't be like this but again I can't help it. Every labor is different, every delivery is different, every everything is different so how can you be fully prepared?!

Don't get me wrong I can't wait for her to be here. I just want her to be here and safe and sound in our arms. It seems like this wait has been FOREVER though I know it really hasn't. But after the loss of Skylar and then all the emotions and everything with that and then getting pregnant so quickly afterwards just alot more that makes my mind wander. I go back to the doctor tomorrow for all my first check-ups on my cervix and to make sure Preslee is head down and all that fun stuff. I guess that will give me some relief to know things are going good. Each doctor's appointment puts my mind at more ease than it was possibly because I can hear her heartbeat and hopefully tomorrow I will get to see her on the ultrasound if Dr. Gibbens can't figure out the positioning she is in.

Then with that comes the thought/wonder is she head down? Will delivery be a "normal" delivery or will there need to be a c-section? There are just so many if's, and's, and but's that you never know about. Since I was about 25 weeks I have been having dreams that I have her c-section because she is not head down. Who knows?! But honestly, that scares me too! I am just not much of a person to like ANYTHING being cut or messed with on my body! I guess I shouldn't worry but these are the things running through my mind as I approach her delivery date!

But in all reality everything is ready for her to be here. Her room is prepared, diaper bag is ready, my bag is packed, carseat is ready, everything is in the cabinets and ready for her...All we need is little Miss Preslee to arrive. For the past 2 weeks or so I have had lots of shooting pains in my pelvic area, lots of pressure and feeling like my stomach is falling off, I have had a few contractions, etc...Hopefully that means we are making progress when I go see the doctor tomorrow. All will be revealed tomorrow!

What A Busy Weekend And Start To The Week...

Well our weekend was very busy actually. Friday night when I got off work I picked up Triton in Mannford from daycare and we headed to Tulsa to deposit Albert's payroll check. Earlier that day Albert called and said that the company that laid him off FINALLY sent him severance pay... The money was so nice to have... Anyways drove to Tulsa and got that deposited and headed home and we stopped and picked up pizza for dinner. Nice break to start a weekend. Part of the pizza ordeal is that I had my baby shower on Saturday and I was worn out from all the driving that I just wanted to come home and relax and prepare for Saturday. Albert called that night on his lunch break and said he had to work from 2p-10p on Saturday. The money is nice and it was ok (this Saturday) because I was going to be gone most of the day to my baby shower. Otherwise I like him home on the weekends so I can spend time with him since we work opposite hours.

Saturday morning comes around and I get up and around and let Albert sleep since he had to work and got ready to go to the baby shower. Triton went to his uncle Wayne's while I did the shower. I headed to Marisa's house and got there about noon (that is what I had planned all week...Yay). We went to Reasor's and picked up a few last minute things for the baby shower and then headed back to her house to get some stuff together. I had a blast and it was good to see everyone. Had a great turnout. After everyone left I stayed for awhile and just talked and hung out. Then realized it was getting late and I still had several errands to run. Her sweet hubby helped me load all the stuff into my car and then I headed out from there and ran to my aunt's house there in BA also and picked up some baby clothes that my cousin had left for me (her baby was born the day Albert and I got married 05/01/10). I left there and went to Promenade mall because we paid off my wedding ring and I get to pick it up tomorrow. Can't you tell I am so SUPER excited about this! Yay! Left the mall and headed over to Eyewitness Tattoo because I needed a clear nose ring and Albert needed some plugs for his ears. Was able to get my nose ring but not his plugs. Stopped by Nana's and then finally got home about 9:45pm Saturday night. I carried all the gifts inside and Albert got home about 1045pm and I sorted through everything and put it all away!

Sunday we got up and around and went to Tulsa to take Anastacia to Nana's and pick up Triton from Wayne's and we had to stop and get Albert some tools that he needed for work and also stop and get his earrings. On the way home we stopped at Walmart in Sand Springs and got some household things and groceries and just stuff that we needed. Spent ALOT of money. Went home and unloaded that and he worked out in the shop with his brother, dad, and family. I took a short lived nap because I had the worse headache ever and then he had to run to a friend's house and I ran up to the town grocery store to get some meat and a few other things that we just forgot while in Sand Springs. Got home with that and started the charcoal grill and we had steaks, fried taters, and corn on the cob! It was really good.

Then it changed...I was finished eating and was putting up dishes in the kitchen and Triton was finishing up eating at the table and Albert in the living room. Our 3 dogs had been fed but they weren't eating because Albert had food on his plate and they won't eat until he is done hoping he will feed them table scraps! Ugh dogs! Triton got down from the table to go get his bottle of pop from the coffee table and out of no where our puppy (she is/was 1 1/2 yrs old) jumped up and bit him in the face. I didn't realize what happened besides the crying I heard from him and Albert didn't see it either. Lulu never made a sound but Albert said out of the corner of his eye he could just see Triton walking by to the coffee table. Anyways still not knowing what fully happened Triton is crying and holding his face (I honestly thought he just bumped it on something) so I tell him to finish eating and we will deal with it when he is done (I know such a nice mom lol). He gets up to the table and moves his hand and I see blood, so, of course, I freaked out. Needless to say the puppy had to be put down because we can not take that chance with a baby coming in the next few weeks. Albert is rather upset about it but it will all work out and it is for the best. We don't need chances like that with a newborn in the house. Luckily it was just one took that punctured Triton's skin and then the rest is just bruising!

After all of that happened we settled down and got Triton into bed and Albert and I picked out Preslee's coming home outfit with the beanie and then also picked out the headband to match that same outfit for pictures in the hospital. We discussed a few things and also Albert wants me to get my bag packed so that away it is ready and he doesn't have to rush getting things or if it gets left at home he doesn't have to come home and search for things. I completely understand this. That is a task set aside for this week also.

Monday came and I worked and after work I ran to Walmart in Sand Springs to grab a few quick lunch items for Albert and also I went into the baby section and picked up Preslee some newborn socks (they matched perfectly with the going home outfit). I looked for a headsupport for her carseat but couldn't find one that matched the colors so I didn't get one. I also looked at a baby book but didn't really like the one they had so I am going to go at lunch today (Tuesday) in Cushing to see what I can find there. Went home last night and got Preslee's diaper bag completed and ready to go along with the outfits and all. Added a few extra things in there because I am sure when we leave the hospital we will make a few stops on the way home since all our family lives either in Tulsa or Sand Springs and we live on past them in Mannford. So better safe than sorry to have those few extra things! Also got her blanket out that we will use with the carseat and it is laying on top of her carseat and ready to go also. Everything seems ready in her room. I did email the girl that makes the headbands with 4 different outfits last night so she can start working on some new headbands for when Preslee gets here. Those are in the works. I also emailed the girl about the beanie hats because Albert wants a hat that matches Preslee's orange one so I need to see if she can make an adult size hat! Lots to do but it is all really easy (just typing).
