Can't Wait...

Well I am down to 19 days until my due date! How exciting is what I keep thinking and ready for baby Preslee to just make her way into the world and join us! I have been working for months to get her room ready, her stuff ready, her everything ready for her to get here! Last night I finally packed my hospital bag so I am ready when the time comes (if it is spontaneously).

At the same time I am also nervous, scared, and a bit on edge! I have been through labor and delivery now 3 times...You would think I wouldn't be like this but again I can't help it. Every labor is different, every delivery is different, every everything is different so how can you be fully prepared?!

Don't get me wrong I can't wait for her to be here. I just want her to be here and safe and sound in our arms. It seems like this wait has been FOREVER though I know it really hasn't. But after the loss of Skylar and then all the emotions and everything with that and then getting pregnant so quickly afterwards just alot more that makes my mind wander. I go back to the doctor tomorrow for all my first check-ups on my cervix and to make sure Preslee is head down and all that fun stuff. I guess that will give me some relief to know things are going good. Each doctor's appointment puts my mind at more ease than it was possibly because I can hear her heartbeat and hopefully tomorrow I will get to see her on the ultrasound if Dr. Gibbens can't figure out the positioning she is in.

Then with that comes the thought/wonder is she head down? Will delivery be a "normal" delivery or will there need to be a c-section? There are just so many if's, and's, and but's that you never know about. Since I was about 25 weeks I have been having dreams that I have her c-section because she is not head down. Who knows?! But honestly, that scares me too! I am just not much of a person to like ANYTHING being cut or messed with on my body! I guess I shouldn't worry but these are the things running through my mind as I approach her delivery date!

But in all reality everything is ready for her to be here. Her room is prepared, diaper bag is ready, my bag is packed, carseat is ready, everything is in the cabinets and ready for her...All we need is little Miss Preslee to arrive. For the past 2 weeks or so I have had lots of shooting pains in my pelvic area, lots of pressure and feeling like my stomach is falling off, I have had a few contractions, etc...Hopefully that means we are making progress when I go see the doctor tomorrow. All will be revealed tomorrow!

What A Busy Weekend And Start To The Week...

Well our weekend was very busy actually. Friday night when I got off work I picked up Triton in Mannford from daycare and we headed to Tulsa to deposit Albert's payroll check. Earlier that day Albert called and said that the company that laid him off FINALLY sent him severance pay... The money was so nice to have... Anyways drove to Tulsa and got that deposited and headed home and we stopped and picked up pizza for dinner. Nice break to start a weekend. Part of the pizza ordeal is that I had my baby shower on Saturday and I was worn out from all the driving that I just wanted to come home and relax and prepare for Saturday. Albert called that night on his lunch break and said he had to work from 2p-10p on Saturday. The money is nice and it was ok (this Saturday) because I was going to be gone most of the day to my baby shower. Otherwise I like him home on the weekends so I can spend time with him since we work opposite hours.

Saturday morning comes around and I get up and around and let Albert sleep since he had to work and got ready to go to the baby shower. Triton went to his uncle Wayne's while I did the shower. I headed to Marisa's house and got there about noon (that is what I had planned all week...Yay). We went to Reasor's and picked up a few last minute things for the baby shower and then headed back to her house to get some stuff together. I had a blast and it was good to see everyone. Had a great turnout. After everyone left I stayed for awhile and just talked and hung out. Then realized it was getting late and I still had several errands to run. Her sweet hubby helped me load all the stuff into my car and then I headed out from there and ran to my aunt's house there in BA also and picked up some baby clothes that my cousin had left for me (her baby was born the day Albert and I got married 05/01/10). I left there and went to Promenade mall because we paid off my wedding ring and I get to pick it up tomorrow. Can't you tell I am so SUPER excited about this! Yay! Left the mall and headed over to Eyewitness Tattoo because I needed a clear nose ring and Albert needed some plugs for his ears. Was able to get my nose ring but not his plugs. Stopped by Nana's and then finally got home about 9:45pm Saturday night. I carried all the gifts inside and Albert got home about 1045pm and I sorted through everything and put it all away!

Sunday we got up and around and went to Tulsa to take Anastacia to Nana's and pick up Triton from Wayne's and we had to stop and get Albert some tools that he needed for work and also stop and get his earrings. On the way home we stopped at Walmart in Sand Springs and got some household things and groceries and just stuff that we needed. Spent ALOT of money. Went home and unloaded that and he worked out in the shop with his brother, dad, and family. I took a short lived nap because I had the worse headache ever and then he had to run to a friend's house and I ran up to the town grocery store to get some meat and a few other things that we just forgot while in Sand Springs. Got home with that and started the charcoal grill and we had steaks, fried taters, and corn on the cob! It was really good.

Then it changed...I was finished eating and was putting up dishes in the kitchen and Triton was finishing up eating at the table and Albert in the living room. Our 3 dogs had been fed but they weren't eating because Albert had food on his plate and they won't eat until he is done hoping he will feed them table scraps! Ugh dogs! Triton got down from the table to go get his bottle of pop from the coffee table and out of no where our puppy (she is/was 1 1/2 yrs old) jumped up and bit him in the face. I didn't realize what happened besides the crying I heard from him and Albert didn't see it either. Lulu never made a sound but Albert said out of the corner of his eye he could just see Triton walking by to the coffee table. Anyways still not knowing what fully happened Triton is crying and holding his face (I honestly thought he just bumped it on something) so I tell him to finish eating and we will deal with it when he is done (I know such a nice mom lol). He gets up to the table and moves his hand and I see blood, so, of course, I freaked out. Needless to say the puppy had to be put down because we can not take that chance with a baby coming in the next few weeks. Albert is rather upset about it but it will all work out and it is for the best. We don't need chances like that with a newborn in the house. Luckily it was just one took that punctured Triton's skin and then the rest is just bruising!

After all of that happened we settled down and got Triton into bed and Albert and I picked out Preslee's coming home outfit with the beanie and then also picked out the headband to match that same outfit for pictures in the hospital. We discussed a few things and also Albert wants me to get my bag packed so that away it is ready and he doesn't have to rush getting things or if it gets left at home he doesn't have to come home and search for things. I completely understand this. That is a task set aside for this week also.

Monday came and I worked and after work I ran to Walmart in Sand Springs to grab a few quick lunch items for Albert and also I went into the baby section and picked up Preslee some newborn socks (they matched perfectly with the going home outfit). I looked for a headsupport for her carseat but couldn't find one that matched the colors so I didn't get one. I also looked at a baby book but didn't really like the one they had so I am going to go at lunch today (Tuesday) in Cushing to see what I can find there. Went home last night and got Preslee's diaper bag completed and ready to go along with the outfits and all. Added a few extra things in there because I am sure when we leave the hospital we will make a few stops on the way home since all our family lives either in Tulsa or Sand Springs and we live on past them in Mannford. So better safe than sorry to have those few extra things! Also got her blanket out that we will use with the carseat and it is laying on top of her carseat and ready to go also. Everything seems ready in her room. I did email the girl that makes the headbands with 4 different outfits last night so she can start working on some new headbands for when Preslee gets here. Those are in the works. I also emailed the girl about the beanie hats because Albert wants a hat that matches Preslee's orange one so I need to see if she can make an adult size hat! Lots to do but it is all really easy (just typing).

This Week...

So far this week everything has been going ok. I went to the doctor for a checkup on Preslee and everything looked great. You can view her blog at www.totsites.com/tot/babymetcalfe it has all the full details and updates regarding the pregnancy.

Well we decided to have some more beanie hats made and I told Albert to pick the colors on these hats and so he decided...orange and white...I wanted 2 hats to be made so with his help deciding the colors we did that. One hat is orange with a white flower and the other is a white hat with an orange flower. I am going to pick them up after work today!

They are hand made from a lady I found in Sand Springs. I am going to have some more done to match more of her outfits after the baby shower! Also last night I had been getting formula samples and etc and then my cousin Chandra gave me a punch of baby food. Well a week ago I cleared out one of the cabinets so we can keep Preslee's formula, food, bottles, etc in this cabinet and all together. Well last night I put the stuff in there! Yay! Feels like things are coming together so quickly now and I am so super excited.

Also, let me go backwards a bit, on Wednesday we received a package in the mail and it was a baby shower gift from Albert's cousin, Cody, and his fiance, Lauren...They got us the 25 piece Deluxe Healthcare and Grooming Kit for Preslee. Yay! It is so cute and we put it into her nursery already!

Tonight after work I am running errands to get some things done. I have to go from work (Cushing) to Tulsa to take my hubby's check to the bank, drop off the money for Blue & Gold and the money for Anastacia to go to a carnival tonight. Then I am picking up a Boppy pillow that I am buying from a lady and then going to Sand Springs to pick up the 2 hats we had made and then FINALLY get to go home! Yay! Lots of errands tonight...

Right now it is lunch time and I am about to head out to run a few errands for lunch! Got to get gas and prepare for the errands after work, stop at the smoke shop for my husband, and run to Walmart for baskets for the kids this weekend to go Trick or Treating. We will be doing that tomorrow night. Oh the fun will be had! Yay!

The Sadness...

My husband got home from work early on 10/26 around 4am...I just couldn't fall back asleep. At this point in the pregnancy I am having a hard time going back to sleep and just sleeping period. Well I was tossing and turning trying to get comfortable and it just wasn't happening. I finally rolled over and I was facing the nightstand in our room that has our alarm clock and also where I set my phone and my bottled water at. Our clock (just for a descriptive purpose) has a teal colored display (the numbers) and so when I rolled over the way my pillow was it looked like a nightlight glowing (simple, right? No...)

Well as I was laying there thoughts started running through my head...When I thought nightlight I remember going into the funeral home to make the arrangements for Skylar's funeral and when the funeral director was telling us that baby Skylar had been brought to the funeral home that day already. He said that night he would make sure and leave a nightlight on for her so it wouldn't be dark. So, wow, it hit me...AGAIN...my baby is gone. I should be holding a 3 1/2 month old baby at this point. From that point my mind just wandered...It went from the nightlight thing to the pictures that were flashing through my head from right after her birth up until the funeral and we sealed the casket.

My precious angel is Heaven and she is safe and sound but I would really love to have her here! She was so tiny, so fragile, and so beautiful...She was perfect...The perfect fingernails that you could see, the fingers, the toes, the feet, the hands, the face, the everything was beautiful and I miss her so much...

The Weekend

Our weekend come and went as normal. Lot's of stuff to do but then again felt like we had alot of resting time (which is very nice must I say).

Friday night I just rested and didn't do much since my hubby worked all night...Triton and I watched some TV and then just laid around and rested. Saturday we got up and around and Albert helped his brother with an old car they have. Triton went home with Wayne and the girls to spend the night and then we went grocery shopping and bought Triton's Halloween outfit (he will be Superman) and come home and we just rested and spent some time together. Now both kids have their Halloween costumes and I will post the pictures tomorrow. We just sat around and then ran to the store and bought some pints of ice cream. Then came home and was cooking dinner for his Dad (since he has been gone all week) and then Stephanie and her friend come over and chatted and stayed for awhile. They left about 1am and we ate right before they left. We stayed up and his Dad ate and then we just hung out for a little bit longer.

Sunday we got up and got around and we went riding at Appalachian Bay and it was alot of fun. We rode the trails and stuff and was out there for awhile. We come home and then washed the 4 wheelers and took them home and then went to pick up Triton from Wayne's. We ate over there and just rested some because I was worn out and exhausted. We got home and got Triton into the bed and I was just ready to crash. We showered and got ready for bed and had some ice cream and then laid down to watch some TV and I crashed almost immediately.

Then today came and I am so, SO, so sore!
